Gestalt is how our mind perceives the visuals as a whole first then as individual parts. That is, the whole perceptual environment is more significant than a sum of individual subjects. As I am studying Gestalt theory for my dissertation, I want to understand the importance of how composition and colours can impact the meaning of the image. Also, I want the audience to be able to visualize what gestalt actually is by creating 3D artwork based on Gestalt composition, resulting ‘Gestalt theory demonstrated with 3D visual art’.
The main idea for this project is to create sets of digital art to help explain what gestalt composition is. This project will be like a visual lesson to the audience.
